Team Gaki strives to make the best subtitles, while having a courteous, virtuous team. We’re not afraid to try unprecedented things and expand our capabilities. I’ve put together a member portfolio that has a basic outline of each member. Please enjoy reading about the team, and I hope it gives you an idea of what we represent.

Alex Koks (slayeer)

• Position in Team: Team Leader | Typesetter

• About Alex: “I’m Alex, 22 years young and living in the Netherlands. I’ve been a fan of Gaki since I was 15 and have been trying to help out in the subbing field since i was 17. At the moment I enjoy subbing as much as watching the series. Knowing that people will have a wonderful 10-30 minutes because of me is just in one word: awesome. “

• About GodzillaRadio: “Hello, my name’s GodzillaRadio. I’m a half Japanese, half Australian dude that subtitles Japanese comedy shows for people’s enjoyment. My mission is to make Japanese comedy more accessible to those who don’t understand, or are just learning the language. Oh, and to give you a reason to waste your free time.”

Lei

• Past Experience: Fluent in Japanese, but new to translating Gaki no Tsukai.
• About Lei:  “Hi! I’m Lei, I’m a full Japanese 17 year old and I’ve lived my whole life in America. I love Gaki no Tsukai and I want people who don’t understand Japanese to be able to love Gaki no Tsukai also. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!”

KazumaSanjaya (Tofu Panda Fansubs)

• Past Experience: A lot of experiences with typesetting/timing for private uses. Had success on Pikmin Direct 3 with Team Gaki.
• About KazumaSanjaya: “Greeting, my name is Kazuma and I’m from the Indonesia. I’ve lived in America for long time since I was 8 years old. I really love Gaki no Tsukai for few years. I became a fan when I watched the police batsu. I and my good friend had decided to launch our new team, Tofu Panda Fansubs. We had many successes in our team such as Electric Shock Roulette, Yoshio’s moving day, and Absolutely Tasty, etc. We want to share and bring laughs to everyone. That is our main purpose for working with our team and Team Gaki.”

• Past Experience: Prior to joining Team Gaki, I’ve mostly been typesetting/timing for personal use.
• About DsupremeR (Jonko): “Hi I’m DsupremeR (Jonko) and I’m from the Netherlands. I’ve been watching Japanese shows for quite a while now and had not really discovered the Japanese comedy shows and punishment games until early 2012. With the discovery of this new world of entertainment filled with laughter, I’d like to help in bringing as much of these Japanese shows to the fans in a subtitled format so we can all enjoy it!”

Rich

Hinnerk

• About Hinnerk:  “Hi, My name is Hinnerk-Wolfgang Weber. I am a 23 Year Old German Guy. I live in the North of Germany in Kiel. My first connection with Gaki-No-Tsukai was when i found the Highschool Batsu Game Take with Jimmy ;D. But at this point i didn’t knew what a funny world I would find with the Downtown and the Gaki-No Tsukai Cast. With subbing(Typesetting/Timing) I started not long ago. My first Test was a new Version of The Kiki Canned-Coffee(it was never uploaded) and a Music Video(is uploaded, ask for the Link) where i tried my Karaoke Timing. So i had some knowledge of subbing but no critics or someone who honestly tell me that it was good/bad. Just my brother :-D. If you want to know more about me just ask :-D.”

Jose (Inugami)

• About Jose: “I’m Jose, 29 years and Im a computer programmer. I become a gaki fan when I saw the high school batsu and since then I haven’t stop watching it. I join the team because of the enjoyment we can bring to other by subbing the series.”

Sacro

• Past Experience: “Proofreading since elementary school… I’ve literally improved essays from 70% up to 85%.”
• About James: “My God, is Gaki funny! I’ve been watching since High School batsu, and I didn’t even know what they were saying; this was before the subs were released. It just looked like a gigantic blooper reel, and I would be crying because I’m laughing so hard, reminiscent of Matsumoto crying about his stomach hurting. Accuracy is important to me, so the English will be as flawless as I can make it; forgive the Canadian spelling. May Gaki reign SUPREME! Is it bad that I’d want to be in a western version of a batsu game?”
