Interested in Joining Team Gaki?
Hello there! If you’re interested in possibly joining Team Gaki, you’ve come to the right place.
It’s almost that time of year again! As New Year’s approaches, it’s time to make some early preparations. You know the drill!
Team Gaki is currently enlisting volunteers to subtitle the 2016/2017 Batsu game and other projects in the works
Positions Available:
Translating (3+):
* A translator’s job is to translate Japanese vocals, as well as Japanese captions/text. It is recommended that translators have sufficient knowledge of Japanese culture in order to help viewers understand the context of some jokes, but it is not required.
Pre-requisites:
– A Skype, Dropbox, and TeamGaki account.
– A minimum time of 3 hours of your time each week to WORK. While it may seem like a long time, batsu games are massive projects. Parts will be given in 10-minute intervals that usually take ~1 hour.
– A minimum time of 10 minutes of your time each day to check up on updates in our group discussion and to show your progress/face (This is a huge requirement because this keeps the subtitling process flowing much more efficiently.)
– Positive attitude towards others. This keeps others motivated.
– Not afraid to give constructive criticism. If something doesn’t live up to Team Gaki’s standards, don’t be afraid to say so.
– Charismatic, as well as dedicated members.
What We Will Offer You:
If you prove to be a good addition to our team:
– We will mention your name (or a name of your choosing, you don’t have to use your real name in subs) on the blog, in the subtitles and on our facebook page.
– The opportunity to be discovered in the Gaki no Tsukai Subbing Community.
– There is the option to add a link to a personal page. (i.e. Mickstar did this with his twitter account).
– The possibility to let your opinion be heard within our team and take an active role in the future plans of the team. (Full-time members only!)
– A “@TeamGaki.com” e-mail address.
Although the requirements seem strict, if you have a personal conflict and check-in with a team leader about this conflict, it is always excused. Team Gaki always puts personal lives above subtitling.
If you have any questions about Team Gaki, please contact rich@teamgaki.com!
If you think you meet the criteria, continue to submit an application.
Hi guys, I’m actually trying to get a Gaki no Tsukai version going on in the US where I live. Have you guys ever thought about trying to pull off something like this? I believe it would be an awesome idea to have our own, copyrights and to the original of course, Gaki no Tsukai show going on. Please contact me via email if interested. I would love to get this show on the road!
Thanks,
Allen Wong
Uh, hi. I’d like to sign up as a print editor. I’m currently doing journalism in college and my strengths seem to be in making a story look grammatically and aesthetically better. In fact, as I was scrolling down, I happened to notice that someone had spelled rugby “rubgy”. I would like to be a part of the team to make sure such glaring mistakes don’t appear in our beloved Gaki batsu games.
Thank you for your interest in joining Team Gaki. View the requirements at http://www.teamgaki.com/requirements and once you’ve decided if your capable of handling the job apply as an Editor at http://www.teamgaki.com/join.
